Choose an album you love. Turn everything off. Lie down. Listen to it in full, without interruption, to the last track.

The protocol

1. Choose an album… not a playlist, a real album conceived as a whole.
2. Turn off all the lights. Put your phone out of reach. Lie down comfortably.
3. Play the album from the beginning. Don’t skip any track. Listen in the order intended by the artist.
4. Let your thoughts go wherever they want. Don’t try to analyze, memorize, or critique.
5. When the album is over, stay still for one more minute in silence. Then turn on the light. Write one sentence about what you went through. Submit on the site.

Variants

• Listen to an album you don’t like at all, with the same attention.
• Do it with an album you’ve never heard… chosen by someone else.
