Constraint n°062

The Word of the Day

A word drawn at random. Slip it into every conversation of the day. Without anyone noticing.

Draw a word at random from a dictionary. Slip it naturally into every conversation of the day. Count how many times you manage to do it.

Instructions

  1. In the morning, open a paper dictionary at a random page. Point at a random word on the page. That's your word of the day.
  2. Memorize it. It must be placed naturally in your conversations... not cited as an exercise, used.
  3. All day, find ways to slip this word into your interactions. Naturally, without it sounding forced.
  4. Each time you manage it, note it discreetly.
  5. At the end of the day, count your score and note the three most surprising contexts where you managed to place the word. Post on the site.

Variants

Draw two words. Place them in the same sentence.

Choose a rare or complex word you never normally use.
