Choose a website. Paint it by hand. Freeze the digital in matter.

Choose a website that matters to you (your mailbox, your news feed, a news site you frequent).

Instructions

  1. Choose a website that has value for you... your open mailbox, your Netflix page, Wikipedia...
  2. Take a screenshot. Print it if necessary, or keep it visible while you paint.
  3. Reproduce this interface by hand on a physical surface. Not a perfect reproduction... a translation. Watercolor, pencil, marker.
  4. Sign and date it.
  5. Post a photo of the painting side by side with a screenshot of the original site. The gap between the two is the work.

Variants

Paint the same website each week for a month. Watch how it changes.

Paint a 404 error, a black screen, or a loading page.
