The Daily Mask
Disfigure yourself with what's lying around. One mask per day, never the same.
Disfigure/transfigure yourself with simple materials (clay, makeup, earth, flour, paper). One self-portrait per day. Never reproduce the same mask.
Instructions
- Each morning, prepare a clean surface... mirror, paper, skin. Choose your materials for the day.
- Transform your face. Take your time. Look for something that surprises even you.
- Make a self-portrait... photo or drawing... once the transformation is complete.
- Remove everything. Return to your usual face.
- Post the self-portrait on the site. Title: the date. Never the same mask.
Variants
Use only natural materials... mud, leaves, flowers, snow.
Ask someone else to mask you. You only see yourself at the end.
