Adopt your friend's identity for an entire day.
For one day, adopt the identity of a friend (with their consent). Dress like them, speak like them, make their gestures. Write the account of the day from their perspective.
Instructions
- Choose someone who accepts this game and with whom you are comfortable enough. Meet up. Observe each other.
- In the morning, dress like them. Not a perfect disguise... a sincere approximation.
- During the day, respond to everyday situations as you imagine they would respond... their habits, reflexes, words.
- Note the moments when you don't know how they would react. These are the places where you discover the other person.
- In the evening, write the account of the day in the first person, but as them. Post it on the site.
Variants
Do it simultaneously... each of you adopts the other's identity the same day.
Do it with someone very different from you... age, gender, social background.
