Blind Drawing
Draw an object without looking at your paper. Eyes on the object, hand on the paper.
Draw an object in front of you without ever looking at your paper. Your eyes on the object, your hand on the paper.
Instructions
- Choose a simple object in front of you... a chair, a cup, your hand resting on the table, a vase.
- Place a blank sheet in front of you without looking at it. Take a pencil or marker.
- Place the pencil on the paper. Look at the object. Don't look at the sheet again until the end.
- Draw slowly, following the contours of the object with your gaze, as if your eyes guide your hand without seeing it.
- When finished, look at the result. Upload to the site.
Variants
Make ten drawings of the same object continuously. Observe the progression.
Draw your self-portrait blindly, without a mirror.
