Write a real thank-you letter. On paper. By hand. Mail it.
Write a thank-you letter by hand to someone who did something for you. Not a text, not an email. A real letter, on paper, in an envelope, mailed.
Instructions
- Think of someone who did something for you. Something you never really thanked them for.
- Write a letter by hand. On real paper. Take your time.
- Be specific. Not just 'thank you for everything.' Say exactly what they did and what it meant.
- Put the letter in an envelope. Write the address by hand. Put a stamp on it. Mail it.
- Write three lines for the site about what it felt like to write this letter.
Variants
Write a thank-you letter to someone you don't know. A bus driver, a cashier, a neighbor.
Write one letter a week for a month. Four thank-you letters to four different people.
