The Daily Scene

Choose a mundane moment. Replay it as if it were a scene in a film.

Choose a mundane moment from your day. Replay it intentionally, as if it were a scene in a film. Slow down, pay attention to the staging.

Choose an ordinary moment: making coffee, taking the bus, opening the mailbox.
Do it again, but this time, think of it as a film scene. You are both the actor and the director.
Pay attention to the framing: where is the light, what is the backdrop, what would the camera see?
Replay the scene two or three times, changing one detail each time: the tempo, the gesture, the gaze.
Write a short scene description, as if for a screenplay. Post on the site.

Film yourself performing the scene. Watch it back. Adjust and film again.

Ask someone else to replay one of your daily scenes. See your life through their gestures.
