The Tuesday Lunch

Every Tuesday, eat the same meal. For a month. Exactly the same.

Choose a meal. Every Tuesday for a month, eat exactly the same thing. Same dish, same time, same place if possible. Note what changes from one week to the next.

Instructions

  1. Choose a simple meal. Something you can prepare or get identically every week.
  2. Every Tuesday, eat this meal. Same dish, same quantity, same time.
  3. Each week, note what changes. Not in the meal... in you. Your appetite, your mood, your perception.
  4. Do this for four Tuesdays. No exceptions, no variations.
  5. After the four weeks, write about the experience. What does repetition change in eating?

Variants

Do the same thing but with someone else. Eat the same meal together every Tuesday.

Instead of a meal, do it with a route. Walk the same path every Tuesday for a month.
