Why OuViePo ?
Because life is too short to live it on autopilot. Because routine, if you’re not careful, ends up flattening everything… mornings, commutes, meals, conversations. OuViePo was born from a conviction: constraint is the most powerful engine of creativity.
Constraint liberates
It’s an apparent paradox, but it’s a reality that all creators know: facing a blank page, you’re paralyzed. Facing a frame, you invent. OuLiPo proved it in literature… Georges Perec wrote an entire novel without the letter « e » (La Disparition). Raymond Queneau produced 100 billion poems from 10 sonnets.
OuViePo transposes this philosophy into the everyday. A constraint forces you to look differently, to act differently, to create where you were only consuming.
Art is everywhere
OuViePo is part of the lineage of Fluxus, that artistic movement of the 1960s that refused the separation between art and life. For Robert Filliou, « art is what makes life more interesting than art ». For OuViePo, every daily gesture can become an artistic gesture… all it takes is a shift, a rule, a fresh look.
You don’t need talent, equipment or training. You just need to agree to play the game.
Create together
OuViePo is not a solitary project. Each trace left by an OuViePien enriches the collective mosaic, creates echoes with other participations, weaves a network of micro-creations that, together, form something larger.
It’s an anti-performance project: it’s not about doing the most beautiful, the most impressive or the most « likable ». It’s about doing. Living the constraint. Bearing witness to it. Sharing the experience.
Living differently
Ultimately, OuViePo proposes an art of living. Not an instruction manual, not a recipe for happiness… just a tool to regain control over routine and transform the mundane into the extraordinary. One constraint at a time.
