Hold an uncomfortable object against your body. Exactly ten minutes.

Choose the most uncomfortable object in your house. Hold it against your body in the most absurd position possible. Hold for 10 minutes. Not 9. Not 11.

Instructions

  1. Tour your house. Search for the most uncomfortable object... not the heaviest, not the most beautiful. The most uncomfortable to hold against yourself.
  2. Find the most absurd position possible to hold it against your body. Not just in your arms... against your skull, under your chin, between your knees, on your back.
  3. Set a timer for exactly ten minutes.
  4. Hold. Don't put it down. Don't cheat. If you let go, you start over.
  5. At the ten-minute mark, someone photographs you (or you use a self-timer). One photo only. That's the work.

Variants

Do it with two objects simultaneously.

Invite multiple people. Each chooses their object. Group photo at the ten-minute mark.
